‘Kenangan’ is gangsa.co’s third collection and second Raya release for the year 2026.

Bringing back our beloved Baju Kurung Perempuan and Lelaki Cekak Musang with improved cutting, they are designed to be more accurate to the Baju Kurung of our parents and grandparents. Featuring the kekek and flared pesak for both Baju Kurungs, as well as the iconic kocek tampal for the sisters, and utilising cotton blends, our Baju Kurung is made for both cultural appreciation and practicality in our climate.

We are also introducing our Kebaya Labuh and Kotabahru for our sisters, accompanied by a batik skirt pairing.  Inspired by and designed in the spirit of the kebayas of the 1950s and 1960s, our pieces bring back the Malay–Nusantara charm uniquely carried by our sisters.

Gangsa: 
From Gaya + Bangsa, Gangsa is a dynamic brand founded and run by young Singaporean-Malay Gen Zs, dedicated to offering traditional Malay clothing that celebrates and revives the ‘busana’ of the Muslim-Malay community across borders.

Our mission is to normalise and popularise Malay traditional clothing and promote it in the 21st century, fostering a renewed appreciation for our cultural identity.


Kenangan, our second Raya collection, is inspired by the clothing of our parents and grandparents, from a time and era lost but not to be forgotten. 'Kenangan', meaning memories, hopes to invoke these remembrances of the past in an attempt to safeguard our cultural future.

Gangsa’s journey in the fashion world is still at its early stages, but InshaAllah, we pray Kenangan will be one of many more collections to come.
